Access
to the cottages is by a long, winding private lane, and parking
is by each cottage on a gravelled parking area.
The quiet village of Llansannan, well off the
tourist trails, is just under three miles away. It has a shop, two
inns, and a delightful walk by the tumbling River Aled.
Our immediate surroundings are entirely rural,
sheep farming country, with plenty of walking and cycling for those
energetic
enough and able to read a map.
You can start walking from your cottage door! The Clwydian Way long-distance
footpath passes by just yards away.
A couple of miles up the valley you will find
a superb and little known waterfall.
Even closer to hand is a small river accessible only by foot - an
ideal place for a picnic under the trees.
A short drive takes you to Betws Y Coed (the gateway
to Snowdonia), the sleepy town of Denbigh with its ruined castle,
or Abergele and its nearby beaches (Llandudno is our favourite resort).
The owners live nearby, and you'll be welcomed
year round ( though in the winter months only one cottage may be
available).
